Beef and Potato Hash: A Delicious Breakfast Recipe

Beef and Potato Hash is a delightful dish that combines ground beef with crispy diced potatoes, colorful bell peppers, and aromatic onions, enhanced with garlic and paprika for a burst of flavor.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 pound
  • Diced potatoes: 2 cups
  • Bell peppers (any color): 1 cup, diced
  • Onion: 1 medium, diced
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Paprika: 1 teaspoon
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: to taste
  • Pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by washing, peeling, and dicing the potatoes, chopping the bell peppers and onion, and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and cook the diced potatoes for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, sauté the diced onion and bell peppers for about 5 minutes, then add the minced garlic and paprika, cooking for another minute.
  4. Push the vegetables to the side, add the ground beef, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine the crispy potatoes back into the skillet, stir everything together, and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve hot for the best texture.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs or cheese for added flavor.
  • Pair with eggs for breakfast or a salad for a lighter meal.
