Ingredients
- Sirloin steak: 1 pound
- Mixed greens: 4 cups
- Cherry tomatoes: 1 cup, halved
- Red onion: 1 small, thinly sliced
- Balsamic vinaigrette: 1/4 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Take the sirloin steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season it generously with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes after grilling.
- In a large bowl, add the mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion. Toss gently to combine.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips. Place the sliced steak on top of the salad base, drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette, and toss gently to coat. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, keep the steak and salad separate until serving.
- Consider adding crumbled feta or shaved Parmesan for extra flavor.
